To access windows share in ubuntu

This tutorial will show you steps to quickly access Windows machine shares from Ubuntu.Now ,I’ll explain you with using the samba configuration to share data from Windows to Ubuntu,So from now onwards, you can access your Windows shared data from Ubuntu.

First of all,Install Samba and Samba is require to share files with samba from Ubuntu to Windows and Windows to Ubuntu.

Next,To connect from a Ubuntu machine to windows and Open Places -> Connect to Server
choose ‘Windows Share’ in Service type and Enter Windows IP Address in ‘Server’ and Windows username then click Connect

Enter your Windows machine Password, then click on ‘Connect’.

NOTE: Make sure you’ve installed Samba server.

That’s it,after that you’ll see folders of your Windows machine.
